Here is my first blog post from Brazil!
I left MSP airport on Sunday, July 25 at about 2:00pm- two and a half hours late due to mechanical issues with the plane. This made me late for my connecting flight to Manaus from Atlanta, which prompted my unexpected visit to Atlanta on Monday. Delta put me up in a hotel, where I met Nieves and Mariane who are from Venezuala. We had so much fun visiting Atlanta together before going together to the airport to catch our rescheduled flights. They were such a blessing to me, I know the Lord put them in my path for a reason.
As some of you know, Delta rerouted me to fly Monday late-afternoon to JFK airport in New York, and then to catch a flight Monday night to Sao Paulo. Well, again, their was a little hitch due to weather and my flight to NewYork was delayed- almost until the time my Sao Paulo flight was supposed to take off. Not really wanting to spend another night not on my way to Brazil, I was able to get on a direct flight to Sao Paulo! After that it was just a hop, skip and about 15 more hours and I was in Belem!
All the diversions in the airports were a new experience in patience, trust, joy, and compassion that I won't take space to get into now, but you can ask me later if you want! All just to say that I know the Lord was with me through it all and I know that it was in His plan all along!
That will be the end of this post, but just to tell you all I am in Belem and being very well taken care of. ( : Thanks for all the prayers and notes! I will write more soon.
To God be the Glory forever.
